Answers to Recent Questions

There have been a lot of questions coming up on the page, so I thought I would answer them here - one time! 

How long should I wait for a response if someone is interested in my item?
It's a matter of common courtesy. Try to understand tat not everyone can be on the computer 24/7 and that most people are busy - just like you. Personally, I'd give someone 12-24 hours to respond to a message. Remember that not everyone has figured out the "other folder" yet, so tag them in the post and let them know that you have messaged them. Ask if they are interested to reply or you will go to the next person. **Check to see if the person has added themselves to the Member Directory under the files tab on the page.**

How do I decide who "gets" my item? 
The first person to write: "I want this" or "I'll take this" is who should get the item. If someone is asking questions, it doesn't "hold" their place. If you want something, say you do... You can always pass if you change your mind! 

I've seen Gift Cards listed... Are they allowed to be sold? 
Absolutely. Are you afraid that the card won't have a balance? When you go to pick-up: Ask for the phone number on the back of the card. Call the number and verify the current balance. 

How do I know the purse I'm buying is authentic? 
Verify it's authenticity BEFORE handing over any money.

Can I sell to the "highest bidder?" 
This is not eBay and we don't bid on this page. You set the price you want for the item and that's it. You can reduce the price, but you cannot increase the price. 

I need this item gone ASAP. 
State your requirements for pick-up when you post. You cannot decide after the fact that you want the item picked up immediately. Everyone is busy and it is not fair to expect someone to pick-up instantly. 

Will I be removed from the page for not deleting my photos
No. We will warn you first if you are not deleting photos on a consistent basis. Sometimes the admins just scroll through and delete anything that has been arranged for pick-up. We will not delete anything within minutes of pick-up arrangements being made. We will wait at least 12 hours to make sure all comments are seen. Please delete as soon as you know the item is sold. You can always repost if it falls through. 

What will get me permanently banned from the page? 
Any comments and/or posts that are extremely disrespectful or are a verbal attack on any admin or member of the group. 

I went to pick up an item and it wasn't as described. 
Don't buy it. You have the right to refuse any item. Be sure you check over any item before you pay for it. If it has moving parts - make sure they move! If it's dirty or stained - say no thanks. It's your call. You cannot ask for a refund after the fact and unfortunately there is nothing the admins can do to help you. 

Why do people ask so many questions? 
You weren't specific enough in your description. Give ALL the info when you post. The more info you provide, the less questions you'll be asked and the better your chances of selling your item. List: size, description, location, willing to meet or pick-up only, model number, brand, price, if there is anything wrong with the item, its general condition, measurements, and anything else you think someone would want to know!

Can I sell samples or coupons? 
No. They were FREE. Samples say right on them: Not for Resale. Coupons say: No cash value. 

Who can I report a member to if they handled a transaction inappropriately?

Does Denise get paid for answering emails and maintaining the page?
